Audioscrobbler doesn't recognize album names

The album name of a track submitted to Audioscrobbler is sometimes (i.e. for specific tracks) recognized by Last.fm as a different one than the one submitted along with the other track information.
It seems that the problem only occurs when also the musicbrainz track id is submitted: the album name of a same track submitted without this information is always correctly recognized.

This is obviously a Last.fm bug, but a quick fix would be to not submit the musicbrainz track id at all, it's not required by the Audioscrobbler protocol anyway.

I've already described the issue on the Last.fm forum (http://www.last.fm/forum/21713/_/2023134) but I haven't received any useful replies, maybe someone has a better way to contact their developer team?
