Bug Description
Binary package hint: samba
after launching update-manager, samba-common failed with statuscode 1--all further dependencies failed to install.
apt-get update && apt-get upgrade showed the same behaviour.
the file /etc/samba/smb.conf had been moved (by me, during some tests) to /etc/samba/
After restoring the smb.conf file to its original name, apt-get upgrade was able to upgrade samba-common and all of its dependencies.

Hi Harald,
Thank you for reporting bugs and trying to make Ubuntu better.
Unfortunately the information you are providing is not enough for us to determine what is the exact problem you are experiencing as your Dpkg log is not attached (/var/log/ dpkg.log) . Attaching the log will help us determine the error you are experienced.
Please attach the requested file which will allow us to move this further. For such reason, I'm marking this bug as incomplete!
