Bug Description
Binary package hint: php5
There was recently an update pushed to the php5 package. I installed this update and it downgraded my installed version of PEAR. Upgrading PHP for security/feature fixes in the PHP binary should not affect the installed version of PEAR packages, especially if I have newer versions installed. At the very least, I should be prompted to overwrite the old versions.
Before updating the php5 package, I had PEAR 1.7.2 installed. After updating, I had PEAR 1.6.1 installed.
