'cryptsetup' does not set up properly

Bug Description
Attempted installation of cryptsetup (to access my external HDD with LUKS) does provide a working driver in that with my passphrase I can now access my USB HDD but whenever any other upgrade or software is install, I get an error message about a broken install with the following text;
