Bug Description

If I want to report/feedback a bug but I am a very basic user (their feedback is very important), there is not an easy option to do it from UBUNTU OS,

I have the latest udpate today may the 10th 2012

I would like this report/feedback uption at the very top and right of the screen

<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ContributorConsole#menu>: "Whenever 'View' > 'Contributor Menu in Menu Bar' is checked ... an indicator menu should be visible..."

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/997816/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

I don't think this would be needed. We already have launchpad-integration for individual applications, and have tons of online docs on bug reporting. Also, whoopsie deals with crashes really well already, so I don't think this is needed.

Bilal, it is needed I specified that it is for beginner users, they don't go to launchpad, create an account to put a wishlist, or give feedback

The opportunity to get that input in an easy way from users is important

We need to have the focus that Ubuntu to be easy and intuitive, beginner's feedback is an input that we need. Otherwise ubuntu will only be for developers and expert users

Beginners' feedback is useful, but not in the form of bug reports, because they are often unable or unwilling to do the things necessary to make reports productive -- search for duplicates first, provide specific information in response to e-mailed questions, test fixes, and so on.

launchpad-integration will be dropped from Q, though, so I'm taking this on as part of the task of designing a replacement for people who have self-identified as Ubuntu contributors.

Ok I am talking 2things

1. To have a beginners feedback at the very top right

2. To have the option for experienced users to send bugs and search for
duplicates

I have designed a "Contributor Console" that would include this feature, among others. Anyone is welcome to implement it. <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ContributorConsole>
