hangs on 'searching directories'

Running LM17 Mate 64-bit...

When run in terminal...

$ conky-manager

GUI indicates that app is searching directories, but nothing more happens. Can still operate desktop, though speed seems slower. Able to close app and remove (purge). resource speed returns to normal. Re-installing app only repeats the process.

Conky Manager works on other LM17 Mate 64-bit partition on same PC.

Any help to sort this would be very much appreciated!
