Bug Description

This appears to be a graphical glitch.

if a window is minimized, and i open it ~ it will appear to be coming/shooting down from the left-corner, like it is appearing from an adjacent workspace OR is using the 'taskbar to minimize' feature found in animation settings ~ yet i am only using 1 workspace. I've tried picking different animations (or none), but it makes no difference.

i've also tried to disable the 'taskbar to minimize' feature, in the hope that it may have an affect, but the problem still remains. While not critical - it is very unpleasing on the eyes, and annoying.

I notice I've had no feedback on this bug, but nothing has changed using Animation plugins is somewhat broken in 0.9.7.x. Minimizing is where i find it the most noticable.

It's also very easy to reproduce. Steps to reproduce;

1. Use Compiz (Vanilla) on X,Y,Z distro

2. start Compiz from commandline

3. use any dock/launcher

4. click on open/minimized application's icon

5. repeat clicking / minimizing

6. terminal ouput;

/usr/bin/compiz (decor) - Warn: failed to bind pixmap to texture
/usr/bin/compiz (decor) - Warn: failed to bind pixmap to texture
/usr/bin/compiz (decor) - Warn: failed to bind pixmap to texture

It's been like this for a long while now. I basically, have to disable animations for minimizing in order to have a decent desktop experience.

It also looks like when you use 'magic lamp' (and most animations) that it renders metacity properly, but not the windows contents.

Okay, Nevermind.

YOu can close this bug. It would seem something was screwed up in my compiz settings (in gconf). After deleting them, recompiling compiz and restarting it. Animations seem to be okay now, although i should really go through every animation setting to verify.

anyway, doesn't seem to be exhibiting the behaviors discussed above anymore.
