How I encountered this command-not-found problem:
I am running Ubuntu 12.04 beta 2 updated through this afternoon. I have reported bugs #929054 and #980134 regarding keyboard behavior (under gnome-terminal and the Xubuntu equivalent) when the Maori layout is included in the keyboard switcher list. Trying to type a combination with AltGr (right Alt) with any keyboard with AltGr combos results in the character being displayed. For example, I also have the Spanish (ES) layout in the list. This error will then occur if I select Maori or ES, and try to enter a character which requires the AltGr key to be depressed.
If such an error output occurs, when I type the Enter key, command-not-found will crash.
This (the display of the character) happens under Xubuntu 12.04 as well as Ubuntu 12.04. It did not happen with some earlier versions of Ubuntu. It does not happen with Version 6 of Debian, using gnome-terminal.
