Hmm.... IMHO a better solution for our case than the one suggested at
that link would be to remove the custom vcl hash. The customization
doesn't serve any purpose as Varnish already handles maintaining
multiple variants as long as the Vary header is set correctly. In
fact, the custom hash may be harmful as it appears to route around the
ability of Varnish to expire all variants upon purge.
Again, I don't know yet if Launchpad is where Wichert expects to see
plone.recipe.
