Whiteboard

The actual whiteboard implementation in coccinella doesn't follow any XEP, and yes, it would be nice to be compatbile with others.

Do you have any other special client in mind which supports whiteboard?

Due to lack of developers, this will potentially not happen in the near future, but anyways, starting to collect information here will not harm.

XEP-0284 is deferred: WARNING: Consideration of this document has been Deferred by the XMPP Standards Foundation. Implementation of the protocol described herein is not recommended.

XEP-0284 is relying on Jingle. I'm right now reviewing the jingle implemenation of coccinella, and found already that it is not really compatible with actual XEP-0166. I'm in the phase of getting it up to date, and restructuring it a bit, and implementing more jingle related protocols, i.e. some jingle transport methods.
I'm still investigating what really is the be the best approach for the restructuring, and making only slow progress.

so when this basic jingle and a couple of transports are in good shape, then it would make sense to take a look here again.

If someone feels like wanting to help out, speak up! ;)
