Bug Description

qemu should have been built with GlusterFS support in the Havana release, but wasn't:

As a result of this, a primary new feature included in Havana (native GlusterFS support in qemu via libgfapi) is broken.

Probably because Ubuntu ships a very old version of GlusterFS, without libgfapi. Please participate in the online UDS session to upgrade the GlusterFS version - as well as the QEMU build.

In order for this to happen, GlusterFS will also need to be promoted to Ubuntu main, which will require a main inclusion request.

Glusterfs has an ongoing MIR[1] which, if successful, will allow us to enable this support in qemu. We are past feature freeze for Jammy, but maybe it's still doable.
