Bug Description

The ability to categorise and tag would be a useful feature, especially for recalling/searching stored commands.

Primary tagging could consist of the actual command(s).
Secondary tagging could be created by the user.

I was working on categories. However I think km0r3 came up with a better solution. We are close to having it ready. Will make a comment here when it becomes available.

We have a search feature that is available in the 1.0beta2. For right now we feel this is the best 'bang for your buck' solution for finding commands in your 'command dictionary'.

We are open to reviewing other possobilities in the future. There has been talk of 'user modes'. Where you could select different 'modes' to reduce the number of commands available. EX: package managment mode, or File Management mode. Selecting these modes would result in only commands in that category showing in the command list.

It could be that these are user created tags and categories?The user could create his own categories and add tags to commands to add them to that category.

Since we did not add categories and tagging, but a search function I did not feel right about closing this bug. Also as stated in previous comments I would like to bring this item back up for discussion at a later date. Although i feel the search function accomplishes the same goal, that is not what this bug was requesting. So I am leaving this bug open.

I still have brainstormed enough to provide productive solutions, but we should
certainly not forget this.

I'll create a blueprint on this when the time has come... ;)
