Bug Description
I just installed this application from Ubuntu Software Center. I found out that there is an update of the GUI when I checked for updates. However, it only confirmed that the GUI is outdated but did not upgrade automatically.
I hope to see that somehow it will upgrade either the GUI and the virus engine automatically instead of downloading the .deb from other resource.
If more information is needed, please let me know. I'm using it on my Karmic Koala machine. The launcher was under System Tools before and is now under Accessories (not a problem).

Hi,
Thanks for reporting this. This is probably more of a wishlist thing than a bug. I am looking at some ways to enable GUI updates in this manner for future versions, but it is not yet ready to go, and probably won't be for a little while. The issue is that it has to be made to work across more distros and platforms than just Ubuntu, so it's not something to rush into. Unfortunately, in the meanwhile, you will have to download the .deb. The good news is that it's still a relatively small package and doesn't take very much to update. The newer versions usually pushed (sync) to Lucid, I believe, rather than what is currently stable.
Thanks again,
dave
