Bug Description
Checkbox comes with a dmi registry which should be responsible for adding DMI information required by the Launchpad report. However, this information is not being gathered because grepping /sys/class/dmi as a normal user returns a non-zero exit code.
One solution would be to run the registry as the root user. However, it might be preferable to simply run the registry as the normal user and return a zero exit code. The benefit for this latter approach is that it would leave the responsibility of hiding privileged information such as serial numbers to the system rather than to Checkbox itself.
