Bug Description
As of today the Kubernetes charms ship with a `version` file which contains the short hash of the commit they were built from. This is great information but it could be enriched greatly with some extra information that is readily available at build time.
Looking at the OpenStack charms they ship with an aptly named `repo-info` file which contains both the short hash as well as the timestamp they were built on and a link to their repo and other information. [0]
This additional information is useful to anyone building a detailed model of a solution as it concentrates all the necessary information into one location.
