Ubuntu 17.04 Unity8
hover leftover with Qt apps.
launch a random qt5 apps native (without Xmir), Kate or whatever, right click on a toolbar icon (first raw Open/New/Save etc) then click in the window to close the context menu, you'll see that the toolbar icon/button still looks like :hover: like you have the mouse pointer on top of it. try the same with the rest (see attaches screenshot)

on unity7 when you click outside and the context menu closes, the hover state changes to normal
