Bug Description
Unity8 falls back to software rendering, confirmed the same error on both low-end and high-end Intel graphics: Diamondville Atom N270 netbook and Haswell i7-4770 desktop:

Noticed in unity8.log after adding environment INTEL_DEBUG=perf
