Bug Description

Some chat clients have this and I love it.

When the window loses focus (or is minimized) the next time you come back to it all channels have a horizontal line in them at the last position that was displayed when the focus loss happened.

This is very useful to know from where you have to read when you're coming back to catch up on everything.

This would be doubly beneficial if Cable supports the window closing while staying connected. I could join a channel in the morning, go about my work with Cable closed, then reopen it at lunch and see where I'd left off.

Cassidy, I believe you misunderstood the request. Imagine this scenario:

I join 2 channels: #ch1, #ch2

Then I decide to bring focus to #ch1 and start a discussion; after a while someone on #ch2 page me and I switch to #ch2, starting another discussion.

After a while I go back to #ch1 to discover that the discussion went ahead without me; I want to read it all but I need to remember the line that I read last.

Modern IRC clients remember that and display a red horizontal line as a bookmark.
