Bug Description
On the first run of cable, there is a delay in the UI while cable is connecting to the server in the background. This does not follow the elementary HIG and also makes the UX sluggish and slow. To fix this, we need to make the UI elements insensitive and/or show a progress spinner or bar when cable connects to the network.
