Bug Description
I'd like some UI to assist with flagging files and/or folders as ignored.
This 'wishlist' feature somewhat relates to bug #416352
Since programmers are the end user of this application, the local and global ignore files are relatively intuitive, however one goal for a GUI is to eliminate the need to enter commands or hand edit configuration files.
So I suggest that from an appropriate place in the current UI such as beside a file in the 'unversioned' list, and/or the file tree in the bottom right window, a 'ignore' option be present.
This option may expose a dialog which will allow the user to specify things like:
Ignore this file
Ignore all files with this extension
Ignore all files in this folder
Ignore all folders with this name
Ignore all files with this wildcard match + include sub folders
Apply to all projects
That kind of thing, I won't bother showing an example implementation but it would expose the full usefulness of the .bzrignore files.
Note that when a user first uses Bazaar, the first things they do are configure ignores and configure diff/merge applications. So although this is a minor and rarely used feature, it is discovered as part of the introduction experience.

I agree this is important and it's high on the TODO list. See http:// wiki.bazaar. canonical. com/BzrExplorer /Roadmap.
