Bug Description

Regression in Ubuntu 12.04:
On random occasions I find that the selection box around panel items (menu titles or indicator icons) is drawn incorrectly, with white borders. Screenshot attached.

Still happening. Initially I thought it was something I might have caused in my hacking, but here's a video showing the bug still occurring with standard precise packages.

I've now seen this bug with intel and nvidia (nouveau). I think rendering of those tabs is done entirely in software, so the graphics driver is probably not a factor.

Same problem here on all my installtions of ubuntu 12.04 (every system use an intel-based graphic card).

Will this ever be fixed for 12.04? I don't see this on 13.04, but 12.04 with all updates is still *very* badly effected by this with intel graphics. This bug happens very often and makes for an extremely unpolished experience with these graphical artifacts all over the panel...

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug. We have tried to recreate this on the latest release of Ubuntu, but cannot reproduce it. This bug is being marked as Invalid. If you believe the problem to still exist in the latest version of Ubuntu, please comment on why that is the case and change the bug status to NEW.

Not tested on 12.04.
