gnome-terminal still pops up context menu on F10 key despite disabled in preferences

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Bug observed here before and confirmed again just now. Did not happen in older releases of Ubuntu.

Interestingly enough, just tested, the "F10 pressed" event is indeed sent to the terminal-based program. Tested with midnight commander (asks to quit). Type "cat" then press F9 then F10. Both escape sequences are received.

$ cat
^[[20~^[[21~

I tested it again.
1. For cat I have the following:
$ cat
^[[21~

2. For MC. After pressing F10, I get confirmation window
"The Midnight Commander
Do you really want to quit the Midnight Commander?
Yes No"
and right-mouse click menu with selected option "Open terminal". So pressing Enter will open new Terminal. MC remains with confirmation dialog.

I can see exactly the same behaviour on my freshly installed Ubuntu 12.04.

For gtk-3 apps like gnome-terminal and nautilus I created a new file: ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css

@binding-set NoKeyboardNavigation {
 unbind "<shift>F10"
}

Bug exists in current Quantal image (uname -a: Linux ubuntu 3.5.0-6-generic #6-Ubuntu SMP Mon Jul 23 19:53:07 UTC 2012 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux)

Looks like this bug is fixed in latest Quantal.

I have installed yesterday 12.04.5 LTS (!) and bug is still here.

Please fix it on next install media, it is very annoying.

Bug still exists in Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS amd64 and x86.
