Alt+tab and Alt+F4 shortcuts do not work [5.6.0-0ubuntu4]

Bug Description

On 12.04, after the latest update:

I cannot switch between windows using alt+tab, and cannot close windows using alt+f4.

xev shows both alt and f4 key events being registered.

Both shortcuts work for me. Can you check if running unity --reset fixes the issue?

So, I disabled the HUD again (I have to, because it interferes with emacs and Firefox browsing when you hit alt-left or alt-right to move back and forth), and this problem returned.

Either I need a way to disable HUD without breaking Alt+tab/Alt+f4, or I need to have the HUD not interfere with other programs.
