Bug Description

When upgrading from oneiric to precise beta1 the support of touchpad vanished.

I had to reinstall xserver-xorg-input-synaptics to get it back working (do-release-upgrade removes it).

The text in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PrecisePangolin/TechnicalOverview/Beta1 states that ClickPads are recognized out of the box (at least on MacBook ones) which is not the case since I had to reinstall this package.
