I have a 6-in-1 card reader plugged into the PCMCIA slot of my laptop. In Edgy Eft (and indeed all other distributions with a kernel <2.6.20), the card reader has worked as expected. When I inserted a SD-card (or indeed any other card), a device node would be created and hal would automatically mount the device. With the current Feisty kernel (2.6.20-
I think it is related to the new libata driver. At least I know that the card mounts properly under Sidux live CD which also uses a 2.6.20-kernel image.
I'll attach the output of dmesg. The most interesting part of it, I would presume, is the last part. Please let me know if I can provide further information.
