Hi Paul

Can you be more specific please? Exactly how are you setting the feed up? What output are you expecting and what output do you get?

Alex,

When I modify the 1.2 client to work with the 1.3 server it is showing the rss feed.. Strange.
The problem is with every kind of rss feed (xml not loading).

Hi Paul

It still doesn't really help narrow down the problem.

Please can you create a new layout in 1.3.2 server, use the Xibo feed (http://xibo.org.uk/feed) and see if that works.

If it doesn't, list out exactly how you've set it up so that Dan can replicate it.

Otherwise all this bug really says is "It doesn't work" which isn't ever going to get looked at.

Cheers

Alex

Alex,

I created a new layout, added a rss ticker box. Used http://xibo.org.uk/feed as feed. Duration 1000, Interval 360.
Client is loading background but not the xml for the feed! (there isn't a feed file in the library..).

Also at this moment of writing, the client crashes on Win-7-64b.

Regards,

Paul.

What if you specify the number of items to show from the feed? Does it work then?

You may need to clear the xlf file from the library to allow the client to start up and download the new content.

That fixed the problem, need to add a value for the number of items.
It should be good if there is a standard value of 10 or something.

Thanks Alex! (Could you also look at the font scaling bug?)

Regards,

Paul.

It's already fixed in http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~xibo-maintainers/xibo/faye/revision/234

Dan thought that made it in to the 1.3.2 binaries a couple of days after release - ie new ones were uploaded.

Did you install 1.3.2 from a fresh download or from an MSI you downloaded a while ago?

If it was from a while ago, can you download fresh version today and try please?

It's looking like it might have missed the cut for 1.3.2. Dan is going to confirm to make sure, but I'm targeting this for 1.3.3 for now.

Fix is already committed however.
