Bug Description

On Linux Mint 12 installed from source YaRock doesn't support gapless playback of FLAC files. Installing phonon-backend-gstreamer doesn't help either.

For now I have never succees with phonon backend and gapless playback. I don't kown if it can be done easily.

So maybe we need to wait for phonon or phonon-backend-gstreamer ar phonon-backend-vlc to do it?

In gstreamer based players it wasn't possible either, but adding gstreamer development ppa solved it in gapless capable players. Can't you get rid of phonon?

Sebastien, phonon 4.6 has solved the gapless playback issue! If you can iron out other bugs when you've time this would be the best player, besides without the hassle of configuring such an app as mpd.

Gapless playback is marked as fixed, thare are 2 solutions to have gapless playback now:
- phonon with gstreamer
- mpv standalone audio back-end
