Bug Description

Hi, I use Ubuntu 11.10 and whenever I move mouse to the right bottom corner of my desktop (not too much, just 2 cms from the edges), the mouse and the whole OS freezes and mouse moves like 0.5 FPS. It does NOT have anything to do with application icon or whatever, because even when I remove panel, it does. It does in KDE and in Unity.
It may be hard to understand, so please contact me and I'll add more explanation.
Thanks

This is a fairly common error with ATI Catalyst, but it was supposedly fixed in Catalyst 11-8 (and you appear to be using Catalyst 11-10). Since you're using a version of Catalyst not specifically tested with Ubuntu, I'm guessing the Ubuntu devs will not touch this one. My suggestion to you would be completely purging your current driver install and trying the fglrx driver provided with Ubuntu.

Does the issue still occur in current versions of Catalyst (or in Ubuntu fglrx package for oneiric)? If so. please indicate that it does.

Changed in fglrx-installer (Ubuntu):
status: New → Incomplete

The bug is still there in Ubuntu 12.04.1.
I installed the Catalyst 12.6 diver manually from AMD website (http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/linux/legacy/Pages/legacy-radeon_linux.aspx).

Changed in fglrx:
