Bug Description
Steps to reproduce:
1. Boot netinst (not live) Kubuntu 11.10 beta CD
2. When selecting additional installer modules, include the "live CD installer" module, which is used to install a live CD onto a hard disk (as opposed to a regular system install).
3. When asked, select "normal" install (instead of "live" install)
4. Installing the base system fails.
