Bug Description

With and without the DRM OMAP driver, TI LT kernel can't display high resolutions (like fullhd), probably because of a soft pixclock limitation.

Seems It can reach the same resolutions as you can get from OMAP 3, even if in theory the hardware supports at least fullhd.

Based on 11.08 here's the cmdline arguments I'm using to test DVI: omapfb.mode=dvi:1280x720MR-16@60 mapdss.def_disp=dvi (you can try higher resolutions, and you'll see that it'll fail).

tilt-linux-linaro-3.0 now includes work from Rob Clark that gives 1080p on DVI... as a bonus it is not overscanned on my TV / monitor on DVI. At the moment it sees which output has something on it and selects it at boot.

Great, just like the DRM driver that got merged at the linux linaro 2.6.38 tree.

Will give it a try and report back the results.
