Bug Description
Onboard, the default onscreen keyboard of Ubuntu, gets its layout from an xml file with the .onboard extension. We would like to add some kind of tooltip tags with strings to that file for specific keys of the layout.
Could you enhance the auto module of distutils-extra to extract strings from xml files for translation?
