[Edgy] Clipboard loses content on application close

Bug Description

When I e.g. copy a text to the clipboard in firefox and then close firefox to paste the text in thunderbird, the clipboard is always empty. I guess it's because the app which pasted the contents was exited.
The clipboard is really useless in this way, it should preserve the contents until new contents are copied.

This bug has been marked as a duplicate of the bug #11334, called: "MASTER Copy-Paste doesn't work if the source is closed before the paste"
