eric freezes on load with error "QSsl Socket: cannot resolve Sslv2_client_method"

Bug Description

I just installed and tried to run Eric, but it appears to not load completely and freezes.
The box message is this:
QSsl Socket: cannot resolve Sslv2_client_method
The terminal error message is this:
(python:1629): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_widget_style_get: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed

Fabrice: Why do you think this is a dupe of 805303? It looks like a very different error to me.

Actually I see it now. The SSL error is a red herring in this case.
