Bug Description

I see the ipfilter and it is amazing but i would like the option to load an ipfilter from a url like iblocklist there packaged in the gzip format wich is easy enough or the zip format and there p2p format comes as a txt file but its the same anyways the link to one of the ipfilters like the bluetack lvl1 list is
http://list.iblocklist.com/?list=bt_level1&fileformat=p2p&archiveformat=gz

could you add the option to load from url with just a download button and maybe an update frequency would be an easy fix and would beasly added in honestly the code doesnt have to even change all that much like maybe 4 lines? if this is opensource someone should seriously add the ability instead of having to manualy download it and keep it updated by hand

Yes, this is on the TODO list for v2.9.0 already. Gtsoul has been assigned this task but I did not get any progress report in quite some time. Gtsoul, could you please tell us where you're at and if you need help?

Changed in qbittorrent:
assignee: nobody → Arnaud Demaizière (gtsoul)
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
milestone: none → 2.9.0
status: New → Confirmed

No worries, if Gtsoul does not plan to finish this task, I'll pick it up for v2.9.0. I do not consider him as MIA just yet though, it is the holiday period after all :)

No ETA for v2.9.0 yet, I have not started work on it and cannot right now (I'm on vacation abroad until the end of the month). This feature is planned for early beta (1 or 2) so you may be able to test it before the release (either through the unstable PPA if using Ubuntu or via compiling if other Linux).

btw meant to say something i know quiet a few debian users would love if you
could host it on a repository with all dependencys for the newest
qbittorrent i know for a fact there are tons of debian and #! users that
would like a more up to date version cause wheezy and the other more
unstable version arent able to even get it cause of dependencies not in the
main repo's could someone host a qbittorrent stable on a repo for debian

I'm already maintaining PPAs for stable and unstable versions already (meant for Ubuntu):
https://launchpad.net/~hydr0g3n/+archive/ppa
https://launchpad.net/~hydr0g3n/+archive/qbittorrent-unstable

It should work on Debian (although untested). I don't have more time to allocate to packaging as development is my priority.

I'm a Fedora user and I get up-to-date libtorrent/qbittorrent without even needing any non-official repository :)

Hi Chris

It should hit testing in a day or two, can you leave karma after testing :-)
