No random access to a playing MP3

Bug Description

Amarok 2:2.4.0-0ubuntu5.1 on Kubuntu Natty

The only controls available on MP3 files are play/pause and stop. I cannot move the track forward or back.

After an upgrade from Maverick to Natty, Amarok stopped playing MP3s. I solved this by installing the necessary gstreamer plugins (gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad, gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly, gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg, and gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3), but now the only controls available on MP3 files are play/pause and stop, there are no forward/reverse actions anywhere in the UI. Is there a missing/better plugin that I need to install?

I should add that GStreamer is the only installed Phonon backed, I haven't changed anything there from the defaults.

Adding kubuntu-restricted-extras fixed the random access issue. I'm not sure which additional package made the difference, but arguably it should have been installed by the "installed missing packages" dialog, which I used to add the "sequential-only" MP3 playback.

After more experimentation, I don't think this is necessarily a problem with packages or audio backends. I am now able to get both behaviours on the same MP3, with the only pattern being that if an MP3 doesn't allow random access, I can get it back by first playing an MP3 that does, and then jumping to the first MP3 by clicking on it in the play list in the right-hand column.
