Bug Description

Happened when I started working on a latex file in a synchronised folder. Because I compile quite often the files change rapidly, and ubuntu one can't keep up, and uses 100% cpu. Sometimes this results in conflicts, which causes renaming of the files, which breaks workflow because the compiler can't find the files anymore.

This happens to me as well when editing code. The memory usage also spikes until I kill it or it brings down my computer. I've seen it go up to 4GB+. It also happens when I play Minecraft with it syncing the save data (the game writes to files very often).

Thanks for the report.
We are using bug #913912 as a master bug for high CPU usage, so I'm marking this as a duplicate.
