Bug Description
Binary package hint: unity
I believe this is very important as a user should be able to search for files and folders easily through the computer via unity. Search results are only recent items as far as unity is concerned.
Ubuntu 11.04 beta
Unity:
Installed: 3.8.6-0ubuntu1
Candidate: 3.8.6-0ubuntu1

I also was very surprised to learn that the unity files place or lense or whatever doesn’t make use of tracker when available. Zeitgeist is a nice thing to have, but primarily for somewhat recently or regularly used documents. Tracker, on the other hand, is a great way of finding documents by content, even ones that you didn’t touch for a long time.
With the tracker applet and the deskbar applet, Ubuntu used to have two (inofficial) ways of accessing tracker quite easily. I think in the Unity universe, the files place would be the most natural way of accessing files through tracker. Please consider supporting it in the future.
