Bug Description

when i add new downloads they all have a 'stalled' status and the only way i can get them to download is to click 'trackers' then next to the tracker (there's only one) it says 'invalid port' so i right click it and click 'force reannounce' and it stats up but after a few seconds changed to a 'paused' status (which can't be unpaused) and after checking the log i get an 'invalid access to memory location' error and yet i can start the torrent in another client and it started imminently

this is on windows with versions 2.7.0, 2.7.1 and 2.7.2

Yes, I have just checked my changelogs and it was fixed in v2.7.3. I suggest you use this exact version. v2.8.1.1 is available but it has some issues on Windows, so stay with v2.7.3 until I release v2.8.2 for Windows.

My regards to Christophe Dumez for such an awesome torrent program, its sleak, simple and does the job well without draining your system from resources!

Im sorry to have to mention this same problem again, im affected by this bug also.
Running Win7 and DL seems fine in the beginnng....after a while almost certainly the torrent slalls becouse of a tracker just like the above post mentioned. What i did is to remove the tracker that is making this problem and then right click on a high count tracker and choose reannounce....this has worked for me but only for a couple of minutes. Then i get an I\O error occured for the torrent......
But if i continue using my method by removing bad trackers it workes for a while.
I surely dont want to return to vuze or any other client for that matter....im just hoping you can bypass this minal issue.

My qbittorrent version : 2.8.2

I can confirm that version 2.7.3 does not seem to have this problem. But 2.8.2 is definitely affected. I'm running Windows 7 SP1 x64.

Hi all;

I have the same problem ...... many files have stalled status and some downloads suddenly get an i/o error and their status converts to pause. My qbittorrent is V2.9.10 . Can someone please send me a stable bug free version to resolve this issue.

Also please tell me when I upgrade or change the version, do I loose all my pending downloads data or they will still be there when I install a different version because when I tried to install a newer version it told me to unistall the installed version. I dont want to loose the pending download data.

Please assist. Your assistance will be appreciated.

Jason

I had the same error with 3.0.5 on Kubuntu 12.10 and fixed it by deselecting the anonymous mode function which I enabled prior. Seemed to fix everything up, although I have a suspicion that it was only caused by the fact that qbittorrent didn't talk to the router to pass through a port. If this is done manually, perhaps it would have fixed the problem - I haven't tried it though.
