Bug Description
"bzr help tags" says:
--sort=ARG Sort tags by different criteria.
However, there's no information about possible values of ARG.
By looking in the sources, I found that the possible values are "alpha", "time", and "natural", with the latter being the default. What exactly does "natural" mean is not entirely clear (is it about sorting "1" before "10"?).

The information is all there, but the option handler doesn't display it at the moment.
Another possible value is "debversion", which uses debian-version style sorting.
