Bug Description

Add support for positioning the dock on any screen edge.

Use ALT+drag to move the dock where you want it.

Yeah this is a very essential feature for any dock. I would love to be able to put plank on the left side.

+Me too, for this request. Veritical screen real-estate is far more important to me than horizontal.

What do u mean with "alt+drag" ?
I tried holding the left alt button and dragging the dock with the mouse but it keeps dragging only the icon of the application pointed by the cursor :(

Doesn't work for me either.
There's no proper instruction on how to move plank, btw.
Help, anyone?

Right. You should edit the plank config file.
It is located in ~/.config/plank/

change value "Position="
0 is left
1 is right
2 is up
3 is down

Save and voila :)
