See bug #644067 for more information about vmplayer problems. If that bug isn't fixed yet, I think this is a valid request. Marking as triaged.

In order to progress with this, I need someone with access to vmplayer to tell me what g_get_prgname() returns for vmplayer.

To do this, use "xprop | grep CLASS" from the command line, then click on a running vmplayer window, and then look back at the terminal and look at the output.
