Bug Description
GUI is now "static" and based on code generated with the Glade2 UI application.
In the distant future it can become necessary to have a "dynamic" GUI to be generated with libglade code, or a detach a "static" GUI from Glade and have the GUI coded with GTK.

GTK-3.0 is released as of February 10th, 2011.
Glade-3 is releasing the third GTK-3.0 compatible release leading up to GTK-3.1.0.
Time to weed out deprecated and obsoleted GTK widgets and function calls.
