iPad: UI locks up on share dialog

Bug Description

The BookReader UI locks up after tapping on the share icon.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open book in Safari
2. Tap the share icon (looks like a molecule)
3. Dialog window partially displayed, UI unresponsive

Expected:
Share dialog should full appear and be interactive

The first time you activate the share dialog on the iPad, it works fine. The second time you activate it, however, Safari locks up and is eventually ejected.

Well, I spent all day trying to fix this.. It appears to be a bug in colorbox. After trying to get this work with colorbox for the last 10 hours and failing, I have a couple suggestions:

1) We could show the share dialog exactly as it looks and functions now, but without using colorbox. I tested using jquery.show() and .hide() and it works fine on the iPad.

2) We could not show the share button on mobile devices.

This appears to be fixed in Mobile Safari on iOS 4. Removed buttons from iPad on iOS 3.
