Bug Description
The install-script is nice, but an intermediate goal should be to package Woof as a .deb-file. Research into packaging-
A prepackaged ".deb" file makes it super-easy for new users to get started with Woof. And it would also be the ideal opportunity to launch Woof's very own PPA so people can stay up-to-date with Woof's development.

The install script is not "nice" it is really awful. Nothing should *ever* copy files into /usr other than in /usr/local that are not managed by the package manager! This is basic stuff, people... Since this appears to be primarily an Ubuntu project, I'm really confused as to why you wouldn't have chosen to distribute it as a Debian package straight away. It's really quite easy, especially for something this simple! Also, the installation script completely ignores the trayicon-*.py scripts. I think this project has the potential to be exceptionally useful, especially once UPNP support is added. It should become a part of Ubuntu for sure, but it has to be done right from the start.
