Bug Description
Binary package hint: software-center
In the following example, software center's hostory feature fails to record the fact that a .deb file was installed (through the software center).
1) Install virtualbox-3.2 from the virtualbox website using software-center
2) Look up the package name in the history
What happens:
No record of the package being installed
Expected:
Package should be available via history. Software-center should highlight/tag those items which come from unbtrusted sources, PPAs and 3rd party debian packages so that they are the first to be removed when a user is experiencing an issue.
