mouseup events sometimes (randomly?) lost

Bug Description

I don't know how to get more information, but it seems like mouseup events are randomly lost. It might be due to load on the system, but this is far from certain. It's started since I upgraded to edgy. Symptoms include
  1) When I try to double-click a titlebar to roll it up, sometimes I end up dragging it around instead
  2) there may be something with highlighting in the terminal, but I'm not certain.
