Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org-dev

The SDK package seems to
be 'broken'.Specificaly the utility 'regcomp' is missing. It should be
in /usr/lib/openoffice/sdk/linux/bin .There are scripts there, regcomp,
regcomp.bin and regcomp.bin.bin but the actual exectuable regcomp is
missing, at least I think it is. I tried to build the RNG addin found
at http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/...simpleCalcAddIn under the 'Preparation' section. The error I get is

exec: 146: /usr/lib/openoffice/sdk/linux/bin/regcomp.bin.bin.bin: not found

when i execute the build script.

I have openoffice.org 2.0.4-0ubuntu2 installed.

This won't be fixed for Edgy now, I'm afraid; moving to later for fixing early in Feisty.

Updated packages (2.0.4-0ubuntu3) are uploaded to edgy-proposed; to enter edgy-updates at least two or three independent confirmations for each bug report mentioned in the changelog with a bug number are required. To install these packages please make sure that the edgy-proposed packet is enabled in your /etc/apt/sources-list
file:

  deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ edgy-proposed main

Please report your findings in report #68396.

If you did install the packages provided at

  deb http://people.ubuntu.com/~doko/ubuntu/ edgy/$(ARCH)/
  deb http://people.ubuntu.com/~doko/ubuntu/ edgy/all/

please make sure that you remove these lines and manually remove these packages (having a higher version number than the packages for edgy-proposed).
