declining yahoo subscription does not take effect

Bug Description
Binary package hint: empathy
Hi devs,
I am using empathy for my yahoo account. I keep getting these spam friend requests which I used to happily decline in other messenger services and it never appeared again but in empathy, every time i decline a subscription request from an unknown user, it comes back with the request if I log out of empathy and log back in again.
If I decline the request from my android phone messenger service or yahoo messenger in windows it does come back in empathy again.
Could you guys look into this please?

thanks for the bug report. this particular bug has already been reported but feel free to report any other bugs you may find. see bug 480605
I would suggest you to use pidgin for yahoo. you can install pidgin from software-center.
