Bug Description

In the meantime, though, I did what I think is a small bug: I was using an affiliate account on the live KARL and noticed a problem with the profile Edit screen. I tried entering a website that did not have the correct form (such as just a series of random letters, or a site name without .com/.org etc.), and when I hit submit I was taken back to a reloaded version of the same edit screen (retaining my edits but unsaved), rather than an updated profile page. This happens after repeated tries. When I tried the same thing on my established KARL account it did not happen. This is only in IE8, as I haven’t yet tested in Firefox. Just thought I would give you a heads up.

this was reported by Evan during testing of other features. I have tested on staging and with IE7, IE8, FF and safari and in all cases the website field if non web sites are entered does not spark an error but just takes you back to the submit screen with changes waiting to be updated. It is not unique to affiliates either but has same reaction for admin passwords.

Just confirmed this on trunk. No indication on the field that the field failed to validate.

Chris, how much do you know about Formish? I note that we no longer display a formerror at the top of the page for any kind of field error. Can we get that back?

A little bit more everytime I have to fix a bug that touches it.

Chris, did this get on the integration branch that went out the door last night (and last week)?

Jim, can you confirm that this is wrapped up? If the explanation of the error is too obscure, assign back to me and I'll work on a test case.
