Bug Description

well i have been using ubuntu one since the start and i really like the ide. however when trying to sync my computer to ubuntu one both 10.04 and 10.10 beta i have to start the ubuntu one settings tool and connect manualy (before i do that it says disconected ) after conecting manually it starts updating, but when i look at my network trafic i only updates with 60-300 b/sek. when surfing the net/ using the internet for anything else i have 10 mbit up and down so i really dont understand why ubuntu one is so slow.

at the beginning we had a aplet in the statusbar where you could follow ubuntu one (is it conected or not, and if it was fully updated.) i do understand that this is not nesserserry if ubuntu one was working, and updating right. then the files would always be updated, but as it is at the moment ubuntu one does not work. it is to slow! i have about 500 megabyte of data i would like to sync with ubuntu one, and as it is at the moment i have uploadet around 300 megabytes (over the last month)

please fix ubuntu one or remove ubuntu one. this i not usable

I can confirm this very annoying problem.
I have to upload more than 50GB of stuff, but at the pace of 150byte/s or maximum 500byte/s, I will never end this task.

The <syncdaemon.conf> file is identical as the one of <soundpartner>.
I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 64bit and obviously a payed plan.

If it helps, I'm finding this behavior of "Ubuntu One" on my PC with Ubuntu 10.04 - 64bit.

I have an ADSL line with a minimum upload speed of 200 kbit/s up to 1000 kbit/s.
I asked to synchronize "27" folders with "109839" files out of the "Ubuntu One" folder for a total of 52GB.

I booted the PC at 16:00 Sunday, October 10 and <ubuntuone-syncdaemon> began working with the CPU at 90% and the PC hard disk always active for more than half an hour.
Then, until 07:00 am on Monday, October 11, has uploaded almost nothing, but created only the folders with a very slow upload speed of 150 Bytes/s up to 500 Bytes/s (from 17:00 of 10 October to 07:00 am of 11 October almost no upload).

Starting at 07:00 am it started to load the data itself. From the table below you can see how the speed is going to grow:
07:00am -> 103.2MB (this stuff was already uploaded)
08:37am -> 448.5MB
11:37 -> 550.3MB
13:37 -> 967.2MB
15.51 -> 2.1GB
16:30 -> 2.4GB
18:30 -> 3.0GB
20:00 -> 3.5GB
(...)

So, I can say that "Ubuntu One" is very, very slow at beginning, but after a while (a big while, and this is the problem) it start working well.
